UPPER PEAKS SPORTSMENS CLUB

What is Upper Peaks ?

    Upper Peaks is a Hunting & Shooting Club affiliated with the National Rifle Association and the Orange County Chapter of Quail Unlimited.

Objectives of Upper Peaks :

(a) To Provide opportunities for members to engage in the sport of hunting

(b) To promote hunter safety.

(c) To encourage the practice of good sportsmanship and compliance with local, state and federal game laws.

(d) To strengthen landowner-hunter cooperation and understanding.

(e) To support wildlife conservation programs and to assist wildlife management programs.

(f) To increase the knowledge and practice of hunting skills, marksmanship and other outdoor recreation skills that are in harmony with the sport of hunting.

(g) To cooperate with other organizations that share the objectives stated in paragraphs (a) through (f).

(h) To encourage organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States residing in our community, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship.

(i) To forward the development of these characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

Membership: 

Though most Upper Peaks members are also involved in Quail Unlimited, any citizen of the United States, may become a member of this organization on vote of the Executive Committee after subscribing to the NRA Pledge and on payment of the usual initiation fees and dues. All officers must be 21 years of age or older. Junior members may be enrolled and participate in club activities under the supervision of adult members. No person may be denied membership in this organization on account of sex, race, creed, color or national origin.

Meetings

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month, at the Izaak Walton Clubhouse in Santa Ana, immediately following the Quail Unlimited Meeting. (For directions time and map, refer to the Join page in this website)
